Scott Sullivan joins Mentor UK’s board of trustees

Scott Sullivan graduated from the University of Southampton with an honours degree in Law in 1989 and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 1991. He worked as a commercial barrister in London until 2000 when he joined the legal department of Deutsche Bank. Scott held various positions within Deutsche Bank in London, ultimately having responsibility for the legal function within the asset management, private wealth management, trust and security services and offshore businesses. In 2005 Scott joined GAM as its General Counsel and in 2006, following GAM’s acquisition by Julius Baer, assumed the role of Group General Counsel, subsequently also becoming a member of Julius Baer’s Executive Board. Upon the separation of GAM from the Julius Baer group in 2009, Scott continued in the role of GAM’s Group General Counsel and a member of its Management Board. He also served as Chairman of GAM’s UK and US parent companies and a trustee of the GAM UK pension fund. During 2015 Scott assumed additional responsibility for the Risk and Governance and the Human Resource functions of the GAM group and, having lived in Singapore since 2014, was appointed Region Head Asia Pacific. In 2017 Scott decided to step down from a full time executive role but accepted the position of GAM’s Group Vice Chairman, which he held until the beginning of 2018 when he left GAM. Scott returned to the UK from Singapore in 2018 and currently resides in London with his wife and their two children (aged 12 and 11). Scott is passionate about travel and the arts and in 2015 co-produced the winner of the Cannes film festival best short film award.
