The Hearts of kinship care

[PROGRAMMES] Mentor is the lead partner in a new kinship care programme run by Big Hearts Community Trust that seeks to use "the power of the club's crest" to support kinship care families in Edinburgh and beyond. The scheme will run a weekly after-school club for children offering football coaching, music tuition and other activities, and a support group for carers providing information, advice and peer support.

NPS prevention requires a holistic approach

Mentor ADEPIS joins expert meeting with UNESCO, UNODC and WHO

Workshop explores cross-cector youth policy involvement

[PROGRAMMES] On 7 September, Mentor's Youth Insight team brought together people from a wide range of organisations to focus on youth engagement and participation in policy development. Participants represented a diverse range of organisations and sectors, including local government, youth/community centres, young offenders' rehabilitation services, education, employability, healthcare and citizenship services and various charities.

We will do this through the delivery of free regional seminars exploring CAYT quality assessed programmes. We are pleased to announce that our second seminar will look at the Effekt  programme, developed in Sweden, and will take place on Wednesday 7 October 2015.
