London: Two of the UK's leading drugs education charities have announced they are to merge.
Mentor has received joint Government funding for the Alcohol and Drug Education and Prevention Information Service (ADEPIS) for an additional year in order to manage and further develop the repository of impact studies of evidence-based prevention programmes contained within the Centre for Analysis of Youth Transitions (CAYT) as part of ADEPIS.
The alcohol and drug prevention charity, Mentor, welcomed the publication of the Commons Education Committee report into PSHE education. The report cited evidence of the value of quality PSHE on young people's wellbeing and made a number of key recommendations for improving provision, including statutory status for the subject.
