Mentor’s work is based on the best international scientific evidence and is helping to create a future generation of confident young people equipped to thrive in the modern world. The Alcohol and Drug Education and Prevention Information Service (ADEPIS) is a platform for sharing information and resources aimed at schools and practitioners working in alcohol and drug prevention.
Since Mentor launched ADEPIS in 2013, it has become acknowledged as the leading source of evidence-based information and tools for alcohol and drug education and prevention for young people in schools and a growing range of other settings. The service has been built on Mentor’s 18 years of expertise in this field and upon eight years’ work with the Drug Education Forum, which supported local authorities and schools to implement best practice in drug education.
ADEPIS, inclusive of the Centre for Analysis of Youth Transitions (CAYT), is making a positive and growing impact on alcohol and drug education and prevention in England, and is beginning to ‘fill the gaps’ as a trusted source of credible information, guidance and support.
Having recently secured funding from Public Health England to deliver an additional three years of the service, we are currently looking for research professionals to help us strengthen the ADEPIS platform by evaluating services provided from 2013 to present, in order to inform and improve the delivery of future activities.

- 25 January – Research questions, structure and timelines finalised with researcher(s)
- 14 April – Engagement with schools and young people complete
- 15 May – Final report agreed
The deadline for receipt of tenders
is Monday 9th has been extended to Friday 13th January 2017.
Submissions should be emailed to email@example.com clearly marked in the subject line as <name of your organisation> “Tender in Confidence”.
The tender must include:
- A detailed quote with a breakdown of all costs (inclusive of VAT)
- A summary of approach to the research, and rationale for this
- A summary of relevant professional expertise and experience of proposed researchers.
