On October 11, Team Mentor joined 16,000 runners on this beautiful route to raise money and awareness for the important work we and our partners do.

The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon incorporates the historic architecture of Buckingham Palace and Admiralty Arch before navigating three of Her Majesty’s Royal Parks – Hyde Park, Green Park and St. James Park.

 Mentor’s CEO Michael O’Toole, Marketing and Communications Officer Jade Forester, and Youth Insight project manager Dom Bergonzi ran alongside six volunteer fundraisers on the bright but chilly Sunday morning.

What we achieved

Together, we:

  • raised almost £3,000;
  • joined more than 300 UK charities raising awareness and money for many great causes;
  • ran a collective distance of 79 miles!

Thank you to everyone who donated, supported our runners on the day, cheered us on and offered words of encouragement before, during and after the race.

A special thanks to all our amazing runners – you’re amazing!

It was an amazing day. The wonderful scenery and beautiful weather certainly helped but what really kept me going was the incredible sponsorship from so many friends, family and colleagues who all wanted to play their part in supporting our work here at Mentor. I was so pleased to play my small part in raising almost £3,000!
